The sorting machine is the master-tool of the Down Craftsman, it is through it that he will practice his art.
In 1935, our sorting machine was designed to last 100 years. Built out of wood and metal, it works with air; as the down is not corrosive it can last another 90 years. |

The sorter is extremely sensitive and reacts to the slightest variation of atmospheric pressure, temperature or humidity. Its adjustments can change from morning to afternoon, daytime to night-time, or when a storm is nearing.
The sorter demands great vigilance from the Down Crafstman if he wants to gather the best, the largest and the most tonic down flakes. |
